Impact Roller Derby Miniatures

Left to Right: the Knockouts, the Victory Vixens, the Dreadnought Dorothys, and the Black Eye Susans

As those of you who follow my All Things Zombie campaign blog know, my significant other plays professional roller derby for the WFTDA (Women's Flat Track Derby Association) league in Kansas City.  So when I saw that Impact Miniatures did roller derby figures, I picked a bunch of them up.

Months later, the Real Life Irene mentioned to me that the Kansas City Roller Warriors were having a charity auction to raise money for the league, and I offered to paint up four miniatures, one for each of the KCRW teams.  Here's the result, although I'm considering trying to do eyes on them, which I don't do very often these days.  It required a lot of freehand work, which isn't my forte, and it was good practice for me.

Anyways, I hope the auction goes well.  KCRW's season opener is this Saturday, so if you're in the KC area you should go check them out.  If you do go, let me know and I'll try to introduce myself.
